It wasn't until loosing the Bentley wheels and heading down a more performance route that the idea of bonnet vents really came to fruition. I had always been keen on the idea, I had an R&D - research and development - folder on my phone of various designs I had seen at shows and on social media since day one of owning Dory. I had even purchased a couple of sets over the last 3 years which have been lost to the dark depths of the garage, including a set of Astra MK2 GTE Vents and a set of the very popular Focus RS MK2 Vents. However, it wasn't until I discovered a group on Facebook that the ball started rolling!

VENTED by Nick Wiley : Nick has been around on the scene for many years, racking up over 6000 installs and his work speaks for itself. It was easy to see looking through the group on Facebook how many people trusted him with their pride and joy! It also opened the door to new designs and ideas that I hadn't previously looked at.
Travelling around the country to various different locations for organised meets, makes it very easy to have work done by Nick. Communication was very easy, everything is done over Facebook via his Customer Group and Messenger. There is plenty of information available on the group and Nick is more than forthcoming with information, including vent options, prices, procedures and payment terms.

Luckily I was on Nick's doorstep, which enabled me to visit him at his home to have the work done. We spoke about different designs, colour ideas and he guided me through the sizes so that I could choose which vents would be best for my bonnet.

Once the choice was made, I paid my deposit and Nick arranged for the vents to be colour coded. I went for his newest vents, Z-Vents. Nick kept in touch from the initial booking right up to the day of the fitting, including how the vents were coming along and it was great to see them in colour a couple of days before having them fitted.
My booking was in the days leading up to the start of the COVID-19 Global Pandemic and I was very grateful Nick was still able to fulfil the booking. Precautions were taken that Nick had put in place to protect both himself and the customer.
The estimated time for the job was 1 hour, which gave Kirsty and myself time to head to the local cafe and enjoy a full cooked breakfast, which was only a short walk from Nick's premises.
After 40 minutes Nick messaged to let us know he was done and the car was ready!
On the walk back, Nick was kind enough to take some pictures and send them through via messenger, which made the anticipation even bigger! Safe to say on arrival back at the car, I was not disappointed and was very pleased with both my choice of vent and Nick's work.

Nick being an enthusiast himself and when you see his 370Z Nismo parked outside, it fills you with confidence that you are in good hands. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I am very happy with the vents.
Please check out Nicks Facebook group where you will find lots of information and examples of his work, you can also leave a post for Nick if you are interested in having work done:
Thanks again Nick.
