Chapter Nine : Dory Twenty-Twenty
So here we are in 2020, the rain has finally stopped and the flood waters receding. For those that don't know Lincolnshire very well, whilst ever we have The Wolds we also have the most ridiculous amount of flat/wet lands and we were hit hard by the flooding. Dory was safely wrapped up on the driveway whilst all this was going on, but eventually it was time to bring her out of hibernation as the better weather started to arrive. Apart from a new battery, she was happy to be back running again and was soon out on her favourite local patch - The Wolds - being used for photo opp's and spirited drives!

There was however a rather dark cloud hanging over Dory, what to do with her next! Would you believe Kirsty and I actually went to view several other cars, even test drove a few with a genuine intention to sell her on and start with something more modern. Dory has such an investment in her and a hell of a history, that I couldn't bring myself to do it and as much as it would have been nice to have something a lot more modern - with all the latest tech - Dory is so unique in the standard she has been built to and the way she has been looked after, I wanted to keep going and really make something out of her!

That brings us to this point, the creation of the @L88FTY_GSI Instagram page, this website, blog and all the changes that are now starting to unfold for Dory in the near future.
We have new sponsors who have come on board to help with the build, including Powerflex Polyurethane Suspension Bushes, Dodo Juice Ltd, Fifteen52 UK and Giz-Motorsport who after 2 years of maintaining, building and setting up Dory are now an official sponsor of the project.

What next? Well, I don't want to give everything away and all I can ask is if you are interested in following the project please follow the page on Instagram and head to the blog to see further updates, write ups, reviews on products and more!
Thank you, Lofty & Dory.
